Part C, also known as Medicare Advantage, is a type of Medicare health plan offered by a private insurance company that contracts with Medicare to provide you with all your Part A and Part B benefits. Medicare Advantage plans must cover all the services that Original Medicare covers — except hospice care — and may also offer extra coverage. (Original Medicare covers hospice care even if you’re in a Medicare Advantage plan.) In all types of Medicare Advantage plans, you’re always covered for emergencies and urgently needed care. Most MA-PD plans include Part D Prescription Drug coverage. Medicare Advantage plans can be confusing, so DO NOT fall victim to fraudsters. They will offer you benefits you may not even get. We explain everything clearly and truthfully.
